Sauce is an innovative software development agency based in the heart of Hull’s bustling Fruit Market. In six years we have grown quickly, establishing ourselves as an innovation partner for a wide range of clients from huge multinationals to disruptive tech startups.
We have a diverse range of clients and an equally diverse array of development teams, and we are looking for someone who is ambitious, adaptable, and who thrives from the challenge of delivering great software to happy clients.
As a company, we promote a relaxed, open and positive environment, with great benefits including private health care, a personal wellbeing fund and an excellent pension plan. We have a hybrid working model, where people can choose to either work from home or in our fantastic office overlooking the Humber estuary.
We think it's important that everyone has the opportunity to carve their own path for progression within the business, and your input is encouraged and nurtured. This is an excellent chance to join a company at the forefront of digital, with a great culture, working on top projects, in a job with real progression.
As a developer at Sauce, your role will be to think, problem solve, create and develop, working on projects all the way from conception to deployment, testing and continued support. The environment is chill, but the work is fast paced, so you must be well organised and have the ability to communicate effectively.
For this role the salary range will be between £33,000 and £42,000 with a number of perks and benefits that come with a modern digital company in a tech hub. The role is full time and you will work in a team to develop a variety of api driven web/mobile apps.
We're looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years’ experience who strives to build well-engineered, user-friendly web and mobile applications using modern tools and frameworks. You'll be tasked with building a variety of solutions that are quite challenging; we work with many IoT projects, web portals and startups involving high volumes of data and integration. It’s important that you have an understanding of some current best practices and frameworks with a willingness and drive to keep pushing your knowledge forward.
We use LiveView, React or Ember JS front ends driven by Phoenix based Elixir APIs to build our apps, so experience of either would be great, but not essential. More important is that the successful candidate has a mindset to want to learn and work with one of or both of these frameworks.
